Presidio Transit Center

Signs and Wayfinding

The Presidio Trust asked the L Studio team to design wayfinding and signs for the renovation of the Presidio Transit Center, which would include a new restaurant concept and orientation vestibule, and would serve as the central hub for the PresidiGo shuttle routes and MUNI bus routes. Chad Upham led the design project, gathering all measurements and plans, meeting with multiple stakeholders, and managing cost estimates, fabrication, and installation.

Vestibule Orientation Mural

Chad Upham led the design of a full-wall mural orientation map. We presented two concepts: 1) a heads-up aerial photograph with landmark and destination graphic overlays, 2) a metro-style map of roads, trails, and destinations in the theme of a transit center. Chad Upham commissioned and art directed the fixed-wing aerial photograph and collaborated with an in-house designer of style of map markers and legend.
